Past Projects

Procedural Content

This project focused heavily on the use of procedural generation. The length and height of the walls and floors are controlled through variables and can be updated in real time due to the construction script. The randomized placement of the flowers can be altered by moving the base node. Most assets in this project were created through the use of Unreal Engine 4's blueprint system in the construction script.

Day-Night Cycle

Additionally, this project experimented with a number of emissive materials and a Day/Night cycle with real-time and faster game time options. Shown nearby is a video showing the Day/Night cycle using the faster game time option. This used an designer friendly variable in order to ensure the ability to implement changes rapidply. Pictured in the same video is the game's skybox updating in relation to the "sun's" position.

Animation Blueprints

This project allowed the player to aim from the hip, aim down sights and even sprint! Aiming down sights and sprinting lowered the Field of View and zoomed the camera in order to help provide the feeling of quick and agile movement. Players are also able to switch camera position smoothly at the touch of a button!
